Dr D.K. Mehta is a senior ophthalmologist and eye specialist, with 39 years of experience. He did his residency from Irwin Hospital New Delhi from 1972-1975. He has been consulting at MEI for many years now and also practices at Max saket Super Speciality Hospital.

He was a lecturer at Lady Harding Medical College from 1975 to 81. He was an Assistant Professor at Maulana Azad College and Associate Professor at the same college between 1981-89. He has been Director at the Guru Nanak Eye Centre, New Delhi from 1997 till now. He was Director Professor at Maulana Azad Medical College from Jan 2000 to Feb 2006. He was Professor and Head of ophthalmology at SMS&R Medical College and Sharda Hospital, Greater noida from Jan 2010 to September 2015.
